Silver coating for ELOIS hyperspectral instrument

CILAS has successfully applied an enhanced silver coating to a set of flight mirrors and diffraction gratings manufactured by AMOS for the ELOIS hyperspectral instrument.

AMOS is now integrating these optics into a first flight model of their compact yet very capable hyperspectral imager that will embark an InnoSat platform from OHB Sweden AB for the EIS “In-Orbit Demonstration” mission conducted in the framework of the European Commission Horizon2020 IOD/IOV initiative in collaboration with ESA and with funding by the European Union.

The launch is planned for beginning of 2025 and should pave the way for future hyperspectral constellations.
